Our Story

The Stargazer Cannabis Festival is not only a premier event but also a significant fundraiser supporting cannabis law reform and the Sensible Marijuana Ordinance, a local ordinance reducing fines, jail time and court costs to $0 for misdemeanor marijuana charges. For over a decade the festival organizers have been passionate grassroots cannabis activists. Stargazer Festival organizers have been at the forefront of advocating for the reform of marijuana laws within Ohio and numerous states across the nation. Our coalition has collaborated with numerous activists nationwide to mobilize, educate, train, and provide support, empowering local citizens to initiate changes to marijuana laws within their local communities.

The Sensible Marijuana Ordinance has been successfully adopted by over 40 municipalities, safeguarding and protecting the rights of more than 3 million citizens.

The proceeds from the Stargazer Cannabis Festival are directly allocated to support the Sensible Depenalization Movement. Our efforts have made a significant impact in over 40 states where local home rule offers a pathway to amend unfavorable marijuana legislation. Organizers have consistently offered its services free of charge to local marijuana activists, ranging from drafting legal language to hands-on assistance in gathering petition signatures. Our activism is entirely self-funded, underscoring our commitment to the cause.
