Official Rules – The Stargazer Cannabis Cup
Stargazer Cannabis Festival | July 25–27, 2025 | Waverly, Ohio

Eligibility
All competitors must be present at the Stargazer Cannabis Festival to participate.
Festival admission is required to compete in the Cannabis Cup.

Entry Fee
Each entry is $50.
There is no limit to the number of entries per category or the number of categories a competitor can enter.

Competition Timeline
• Entry Drop-Off: Thursday, July 24 – Friday, July 25
→ Deadline: Friday at 4:20 PM at the Stargazer Cannabis Festival Headquarters Booth

• Judging Kit Pick-Up: Friday, July 25 at 7:10 PM at the Headquarters Booth

• Scorecard Turn-In Deadline: Saturday, July 26 by 10:00 PM at the Headquarters Booth

• Awards Ceremony: Sunday, July 27 at High Noon (12:00 PM) on the Main Stage

Awards & Prizes
• 1st & 2nd Place Awards will be given in every category
• Only one entry will earn the prestigious Best of Show title
• The Best of Show winner receives the official Silver and Gold Stargazer Cannabis Cup filled with $2,500 in cash
• In the event of a tie, Stargazer Cannabis Festival Staff will determine the winner

Categories & Sample Requirements
All entries must be submitted in sealed, unmarked packaging with no logos or branding. Judging is completely blind.

• Indoor Flower – 1 gram per judge
  
  

• Outdoor Flower – 1 gram per judge
  
  

• Concentrates (Solvent-Based) – 0.5 gram per judge
  
  

• Concentrates (Solventless) – 0.5 gram per judge
  
  

• Edibles (including Beverages) – 1 full packaged unit per judge
  
  

• CBD Products – 0.5 gram per judge
  
  

• Vape Cartridges – 0.5 gram vape cartridge per judge
  
  

• Pre-Rolls – 1 pre-roll per judge
  
  

• RSO / FECO – 0.5 gram syringe per judge
  
  

• Infused Products (Tinctures, Topicals) – 1 gram or 1 fluid ounce per judge

Flower (Indoor & Outdoor), Pre-Rolls
• Appearance (visual appeal, trichome coverage, trim)
• Aroma (terpene profile, pungency)
• Flavor (taste on inhale/exhale)
• Effect (potency, onset, quality of high)
• Burn Quality / Smoothness

Concentrates (Solvent & Solventless), RSO/FECO
• Appearance / Texture
