Classic competitors roll 1 joint while being watched and timed. Once you complete the joint roll (putting joint down and hands up), your time will be recorded and the joint will be submitted to the judges for their consideration. You will be judged on that 1 joint. Judging happens in 2 rounds not the joint rolling.

Artistic division is not a watched or timed competition.

Classic Division

Roll your best joint based on our professional judging criteria.

Competitors must be an attendee of Stargazer Cannabis Festival.

Judged on overall quality of roll, not on quality of cannabis.

Must be rolled on-site, as instructed during joint rolling competition event. 

Each joint is judged on a 10 point scale in each of 4 criteria in Round 1. 

There are 2 rounds of judging- After Round 1, top 10% of Competitors with the highest score move on to Round 2 .

Competitors not in the top 10% of Round 1 will be eliminated.

Roll will be timed. 10 minute maximum to roll joint or competitor will be disqualified. Total roll time will be used as a tie breaker in the event of a tie after the 2 rounds of judging. Fastest rolled joint will win in case of tie in points through 2 rounds of judging.

Each competitor supplies their own cannabis. 

Cannabis only- no tobacco or other substances. 

Competitors can grind their cannabis at the competition and it will not count against the rolling time.

Competitors will be provided a grinder but can use their own if they choose.

RAW rolling papers (1 ¼ or King Size- competitors choice) must be used and will be provided.

Joints must be rolled by hand without assistance of rolling machines, bills, etc.

Use of tips permitted but not required. (Not provided)

Entries will be judged by Stargazer Cannabis Festival organizers, event staff. (both paid and  volunteer) 

All entries will be coded by number.
